When I was urged by someone well respected and very important to me, to receive the COVID vaccine recently, I have to admit, I balked.

Not because I am anti-vac. I appreciate that we have not had to deal with illnesses such as Polio, Measles, Hepatitis in my lifetime. [My whole family has been fully vaccinated. There was of course, the wonder of what, exactly I was trusting Pharmaceudical companies to inject into my beloved tiny babies, especially when the doctor had them administered without much, if any discussion and handed me the info papers with risks, side effects and warnings after the vaccination had been done. This is how it was done with all of the pediatricians we have seen, even our most respected and trustworthy one].

➡ ...I balked because according to the CDC, the recovery rate for people under 70 is around or above 99.5% (99.997% for those under 20, 99.98% for those 20-49), and 95% for those 70 and older.

I mean, with that information alone, why would I, a healthy individual in my 40s, risk participation in an experimental biological genetically engineered vaccine?

So with MANY other questions, I embarked on a mission to gather information. I did my best to find trustworthy sources. You can use your best judgement. My best source ultimately is God. I do not believe it was a cooncidence that as soon as I wrote my question about wanting to gather information about the Covid vaccine and prayed about it, that I was led to open my bible randomly for my answer. Without searching in any way, or knowing this chapter, my eyes fell on 1 Corinthians 16. I read on through 21:

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are...For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written: 'He taketh the wise in their own craftiness'."

I trust God over man.

But, I will be referring to many potentially faulty studies of man as that is mostly what I have to work with right now. I plan to continue to pray and seek personal revelation on this subject.

What is this experimental biological vaccine?

First off, the vaccine is not a traditional vaccine. Rather than introducing an actual protein (weakened virus), it is introducing genetically modified mRNA to our bodies to train our body to elicit an immune response based on the coding in it. "The “m” in mRNA stands for “messenger”, and that’s a good description of what the vaccine does. It brings a message into the body, to tell the immune system what to look for if coronavirus gets in." (Source 1) The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are created through genetic engineering that has never been tested on humans before the COVID vaccine test trials.

Anyone worried about potential hazards of introducing engineered mRNA into your body?

When asked if it could alter our DNA, Kara Gavin from Michigin Health (1) said,

"In order to become part of your DNA, the mRNA would have to go through an extremely unlikely, though hypothetically possible, process to be converted from mRNA to DNA, reach the nucleus of the cell, and get “stitched” into your DNA. Even if this did happen, it’s extremely unlikely to cause problems.

And if you're worried that your body could possibly convert the mRNA to DNA, the possibility is there:

"Theoretically, there is a way for your body to convert mRNA into DNA, but only if your cells manage to hijack proteins encoded by a naturally occurring “jumping gene” called a LINE-1 retrotransposon. This gene tells the cell how to make a protein called reverse transcriptase, which can “read” mRNA and churn out a stretch of DNA. But the chances of this happening are extremely small. And even if it does, and the new DNA gets integrated into your existing DNA, the chances that this would cause negative consequences are even smaller.

Define small? 🤷‍♂️

So, lets start with the BENEFITS of getting the vaccine.

1. The Moderna vaccine is 94% effective at symptomatic COVID19 and is effective at preventing severe COVID19. (4) Pfizer is 95% effective against COVID-19 beginning 28 days after the first dose (5)

2. Getting the vaccine will help your body learn to recognize and create antibodies to COVID 19 without getting sick. (6)

3. It will help stop the pandemic. "Herd immunity, also known as 'population immunity', is the indirect protection from an infectious disease that happens when a population is immune either through vaccination or immunity developed through previous infection." (7) So, not sure why

University of Chicago stated, "You should still get the COVID-19 vaccine, even if you’ve had COVID-19." (8) Especially since there isn't data that shows the vaccine will last longer than 9 months yet.

4. You will be a good global citizen by not potentially spreading an illness that can hurt others. Even if you don't believe it will hurt you.

CONCERNS with getting the vaccine

There is no proof that this vaccine actually stops transmission.

Surgeon General, Dr Jerome Adams stated. "We still need to be careful into the second quarter of next year because these vaccines were tested with an outcome of severe disease. Not a prevention of infection. So we don't know yet whether they will prevent infection. But they could prevent you from being in the hospital and ultimately passing from this virus. Still incredibly important to get vaccinated. But we're going to continue to wear our masks. wash our hands and watch our distance as we slowly start to reopen with the assistance of these great vaccines." Source 2 (min 4:30)

Seems the very people who are passing from this virus are being killed by the side effects of the vaccination. According to CNN, Norway reported 23 elderly people died after being given the vaccination.

Previous Coronavirus Vaccines have failed.

Both SARS 1 and 2 vaccines have failed. Plus there are no independently published animal studies. Dr. Simone Gold mentioned Antibody Dependent Enhancement (ADE), is a big concern. (14) ADE is when antibodies allow and enhance the pathogen's entry into the host cell. It causes a person to over react if they should be exposed to the virus. When exposed to the Coronavirus, 30% vaccinated ferrets died during the SARS 1 and 2 tests. (12)

From what I can find, this ADE possibililty has not been ruled out. As of September 2020, this study was still laying out the framework for how to avoid this ADE problem. It did not have definitive answers. "It is important to find out as early as possible that the experimental vaccine is not priming ADE development, although this is not an easy task. For example, the effect of ADE was detected during mass immunization of children in the Philippines with a vaccine against Dengue virus (Dengvaxia) manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur (France)." Source 3

What if we give this vaccine to all of our frontline workers and protectors of our society and 30% drop like the ferrets did? What a huge national security risk to society!

How long do the antibodies from the vaccination last?

There is very little data on this since its such a new vaccine, but Houston's Memorial Hermann Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Linda Yancey referred to data that shows some people have shown a minumum of 9 months and she estimates up to 3-4 years. (9)

"Vaccines Cause Injuries and Deaths. But How Many?

Vaccines can cause injuries and death – this is a public health fact in spite of the corporate media’s attempts to censor these facts. In the few instances where these facts are even mentioned, they are brushed aside with the belief that they are rare, and that the risk is worth it because more people die from the diseases being vaccinated against. So the logic is that vaccines are necessary for the “greater good.” Leaving aside the claim that vaccines are actually effective in preventing these diseases, which the scientific evidence actually suggests is a “belief” and not a fact based on science, the claim that vaccine injuries and deaths are “rare” really is not backed up by any verifiable data." (11)

Why are we trusting Pharmaceutical companies with our health and well being?

"The NVICP (National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program) was started as a result of a law passed in 1986 that gave pharmaceutical companies legal immunity from being sued due to injuries and deaths resulting from vaccines. So far in 2019 the NVICP has paid out $206,295,187.00 in damages due to vaccine injuries and deaths." (11)

They have nothing to lose and plenty of money to gain, with profit margins of 20%. Read more about Big Pharma Profits and the Public Loses in this scholarly article.

Other common concerns

addressed in UChicago Medicine's article (8):

• What are the possible side effects? I heard several people got Bells Palsy from it?

Can it cause sterilization?

There has been a concern circulating with the COVID19 virus and the vaccine having a negative effect on a womens' uterus, preventing pregnancy, but it seems to have been dispelled.

Was there enough time to test it properly?

My two cents? No. And based on this quote from the CDC, it's still being tested. "The ultimate safety of an approved vaccine is not knowable until it has been administered to millions of people. It is possible that adverse effects may occur more frequently in population subgroups, which may not be apparent until millions are vaccinated." (10) Feel free to read source 8 for more.

• Will the current COVID-19 vaccines protect against the new virus strain?

"It’s possible we may need an annual COVID-19 vaccine, in addition to our annual flu shot, to stay protected against mutations." (8)

My research has shown me that the concerns about the risk of getting either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine far outweighs the benefits. Until I receive the go ahead from God to personally choose to face this risk, I am going to stay on the sidelines. Since I have successfully avoided contraction of COVID19 over the year we have been dealing with it, possibly by increasing my immunity through a healthy lifestyle, I don't feel I will add to the pandemic problem in the meantime.

What are your plans for the vaccine?
